Can sodium hexametaphosphate be used to protect pipes

1. Prevent scaling
Action: Sodium hempetaphosphate can form soluble complexes with calcium,

magnesium and other metal ions in water,

preventing them from forming insoluble carbonate or sulfate precipitates.

Application: In boilers, cooling water systems and industrial pipelines,

to prevent scale deposition on the inner wall of the pipeline and keep the pipeline smooth.

2. Corrosion inhibition
Action: Sodium hexametaphosphate can form a protective film on the metal surface to

prevent the corrosion of the pipe by dissolved oxygen and other corrosive substances in the water.

Application: It is used to protect metal pipes (such as steel, copper, etc.)

and extend the service life of pipes.

3. Dispersion
Action: Sodium hempetaphosphate can disperse suspended particles in the

water and prevent them from depositing on the inner wall of the pipe.
